FOCUS Parent Portal Instructions

The Pembroke Pines-Florida State University Charter Elementary School utilizes district school software called FOCUS. FOCUS is designed to be a school and parent portal. The Focus Parent Portal is a tool designed to enhance communication and involvement for parents in their child's education. This portal will allow parents to monitor their child's progress in school by providing access to both assignments and grades that are entered by the teacher throughout the grading period.

                 **Please be sure that you are NOT using Internet Explorer as your browser Chrome or Firefox are preferred**

The link for parents to register for this portal is as follows:  https://fsus.focusschoolsoftware.com/focus/auth/

Accessing the site/link will display the following panel with options to create and register a parent account, add/attach a student to an existing parent account or reset the parent account’s password:

Welcome to the Florida State University Schools parent registration portal. The Focus Parent Portal is a tool designed to enhance communication and involvement for you in your child's education. This portal will allow you to monitor your child's progress in school by providing timely access to both assignments and grades that are entered by the teacher throughout the grading period. This communication tool will improve your ability to assist your child and to communicate with the teacher if necessary.

I DO NOT have an Account Registered on the Parent Portal but my child is Actively Enrolled

I have an Account Registered on the Parent Portal but would like to ADD A CHILD

I have Forgotten My Password and would like to generate a new one - Powered by Focus/SIS

Clicking the “I DO NOT have an Account Registered on the Parent Portal but my child is Actively Enrolled” will display the following Request Access to Parent Portal panel.

Note: Information entered in the Email Address will be used for email communication with the parent and as that parent account’s username.

All required information must be entered correctly and matched to an ACTIVE student in District’s FOCUS SIS system, or the following error will be displayed. IMPORTANT: WHEN ENTERING THE LAST 4 DIGITS OF YOUR CHILD’S SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, PLEASE ENTER 0000 INSTEAD.

 Once the request to access student information for a specific student has been successfully processed, the following panel will be displayed allowing additional requests to be entered or Finish Creating the Parent Account.

Clicking the “I’m FINISHED adding students CREATE MY ACCOUNT” will create a parent account.

Once the parent account is created the following panel will be displayed and an email sent to the parent.
